A buddy of mine and Cliffs regular JH has taken to paddling the length of Pt. Loma from peak to peak on small days, stopping to glide into little waves all along the way. He describes it as "cross-country surfing." "While your gliding along you just notice so much that you normally take for granted when you're out groveling for a wave count." He's right, isn't that what most of our sessions have become? This big board glides fast and quiet while slipping into the smallest pocket. Try it, slow down and smell the roses and don't miss the kelp forest for the trees. Some watermen have taken to rigging fasteners on the deck to secure fishing gear... we plan to have a dedicated fishing variant of this model soon.
